The exhibition will feature memorabilia from each of the inductees' careers, from concert photos and album posters, to costumes and instruments. 13/06/08 / Final inductees announced

Two bona fide Australian icons are the last to be honoured at the 2008 ARIA Hall of Fame, proudly presented by Vodafone. He's painted the Queen of England, but in Australia we'll always know ROLF HARRIS as the lovable larrikin who sang the infectious Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport and discovered that a sheet of freshly painted hardboard made a wonderful sounding instrument he dubbed 'the Wobble Board'. In addition to the five music inductees, ARIA is pleased to announce that legendary broadcaster and country music aficionado JOHN LAWS will receive an ARIA Lifetime Achievement Award. The ARIA Lifetime Achievement Award recognises a contribution, by an Australian, spanning at least 20 years and preferably an entire professional career. A recipient is not a musician but someone who has made a significant and profound contribution to Australian music and the Australian music industry. More....

05/06/08 / Two more inductees announced

Joining Russell Morris and Dragon as 2008 inductees into the ARIA Hall of Fame are two artists who sit at opposite ends of the music spectrum. One act was conceived in Perth in the late 1970's and became the first Australian band to land the coveted front cover of NME. The other was a superstar in his home country of New Zealand before his fame spread across the Tasman. Between them they have produced an enduring body of work that is testament to their collective creative talent. A drum-roll, please, for MAX MERRITT and THE TRIFFIDS. More....
